Wilson Yurek joined Cooksey, Toolen, Gage, Duffy & Woog in 1999.  He left the firm and relocated his family in 2016 to practice in Maryland (where he still splits time), returning in 2018.   

His practice specializes in all aspects of business, real property, and construction litigation.  Mr. Yurek represents clients in complex litigation involving class actions, mold/toxic tort, soils subsidence, and contractual disputes.  He is experienced in drafting agreements and CC&Rs for residential and commercial projects, as well as dealings with local and state agencies.  Mr. Yurek has extensive litigation, courtroom, and first-chair trial experience, having taken over 1000 depositions as lead counsel and participated in more than 200 mediation and arbitration sessions.  Mr. Yurek is also experienced in appellate matters at both the California Court of Appeal and Supreme Court levels.

Mr. Yurek acts as General Counsel for various businesses in Southern California.  He has a portfolio of cases involving personal injury, vehicle liability, premises liability, insurance coverage disputes, and insurance bad faith.

Mr. Yurek received his undergraduate degree from James Madison University in 1990.  He received a Juris Doctorate from Western State University in 1997, where he was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for Legal Writing.  He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1997 and is a member of the Bar of the Central District of California.  He was admitted to the State Bar of Maryland in 2016.  Mr. Yurek was admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court in 2001.
