Marisa Scalzo is an associate attorney who joined Cooksey Toolen in 2024. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Irvine School of Law in May 2024. In law school, Ms. Scalzo was a Moot Court competitor and an executive member of the Public Interest Law Fund. Before law school, she attended the University of Delaware where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Legal Studies in May 2021. Her studies provided valuable insight into the intersection of law and society. She was admitted to the California Bar in 2024.

Ms. Scalzo’s practice primarily involves mobile home habitability matters and personal injury. During law school, she gained experience in several areas of litigation, including civil rights matters, juvenile dependency, construction and business litigation, and other tort matters. Ms. Scalzo also performed various legal work to help victims of domestic violence and human trafficking.

In her free time, Ms. Scalzo enjoys traveling, practicing music, playing tennis, and spending time with her cat.
