Ms. Michelle J. Berner

Michelle J. Berner joined Cooksey, Toolen, Gage, Duffy & Woog in 2011 as a member of the firm’s business litigation and insurance defense team. Prior to joining the firm Ms. Berner served as General Counsel for a California-based medical real estate development corporation on its expansion and development of raw land and healthcare facilities throughout the United States. Ms. Berner received her Bachelor of Arts and Teaching Credential from the University of California at Irvine in 1999 and Juris Doctorate from Western State University College of Law in 2008. While at the University of California Irvine, Ms. Berner was on the Dean’s List, served as Vice President of Delta Gamma Fraternity and a member of the Pre-Law Society. While in law school Ms. Berner was a recipient of the Western State University Scholarship for Academic Achievement for being in the top ten percent of her first year class and was President of the Honors Moot Court Team. Ms. Berner currently serves as the Assistant-Vice Chair for the Health Law Section of the American Bar Association. She is a member of the California and Orange County Bar Associations.
