Mr. Matthew R. Pahl
Matthew R. Pahl joined Cooksey, Toolen, Gage, Duffy & Woog in 2003 as a member of the firm’s construction defect group. His practice focuses primarily on the representation of residential developers and general contractors, insurance defense, business litigation, and land use disputes. Prior to his admission as a member of the State Bar of California, Mr. Pahl worked as a law clerk for the State Bar of California, Office of the Chief Trial Counsel/Enforcement Division. Mr. Pahl received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Chapman University in 1997. Following three years working in the film/television industry, Mr. Pahl received his Juris Doctorate from Whittier Law School in 2003— graduating Magna Cum Laude. During law school, Mr. Pahl was Lead Article Editor for the Whittier Law Review, and competed twice nationally for the Moot Court Honors Board. Mr. Pahl was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2003, and is admitted to practice in the Central District of California and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. In addition to being published on tort and constitutional issues, Mr. Pahl has written and directed several short films.
