Ms. Marisa Pocci Carney

Marisa Pocci Carney is a member of the firm’s Las Vegas, Nevada office, specializing in construction defect litigation and insurance defense. Ms. Pocci Carney graduated cum laude from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio in May 2001, with a B.A. in Art History and a Minor in Business with a Marketing Concentration. While a junior at John Carroll, she studied art history, literature, and global political philosophy in Rome, Italy through Loyola University of Chicago. Ms. Pocci Carney attended the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University where she earned her J.D., cum laude, in May 2004. While at Cleveland-Marshall, she completed a federal judicial externship with Hon. Donald C. Nugent, and earned CALI awards in both First Amendment and Commercial Law. She also participated in the Jessup International Moot Court Team, served as Vice-President of the International Law Students’ Association, and studied European Union law, international trade law and alternative dispute resolution in Rome, Italy through the Temple University Beasley School of Law. She is fluent in Italian and worked as a document translator while living in Rome. Ms. Pocci Carney was admitted to the Nevada State Bar and to the United States District Court for the District of Nevada in 2007. She was admitted to the Ohio State Bar in 2004, along with the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. She is a member of several local, state, and national bar associations. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Pocci Carney worked as a domestic relations and litigation attorney for a law firm in Cleveland.
